About Maria

I have been on a life-long journey of returning to my true Self. Many challenges, opportunities, and gifts have presented themselves to assist me along the way. I believe that the experience of raising three children and my sweet union with Glenn are some of my greatest gifts. And yet the greatest gift of all is remembering who I truly am and living life from that magical place.

Having been born in Mexico and immigrating to the U.S. when I was nine years old, not only changed my childhood, but also the adult I was to become. My first nine years of life were simple—living off the grid, being in harmony with nature, and having the whole neighborhood as my playground. Having had this experience provided me with the foundation of knowing what truly is important and what matters to me the most.

Having spent many years in the corporate world, and never feeling a part of, I came to believe that work means more to me than simply doing a job I am good at, climbing the corporate ladder, or doing a job just to make money. I came to the awareness that my work can be about doing what I feel called to, having fun, and making a positive impact in my life, the life of others and in the world. Having this awareness helps me embrace the important part I play in 4 Directions Branding.

Today, I trust my intuition as I sense in people those deeply seated things that block them from progressing. I practice heart-based communication, I listen, and see into the soul of a person, an organization, and their vision—bringing their unique and special attributes to light with empathy and clarity.

I offer balance to Glenn’s deep knowledge of business and authentic brand strategy. Together we form a whole and are able to bridge the gap from the mind to the heart. We come from different perspectives, moving toward the same goal of helping people and organizations align their work with their values to have a positive impact in their lives, lives of others, and the world.
