glow rising — Integrative Health Coach
Background
glow rising (intentionally written in lower case) is the startup health coaching business of Jaime Grobb Grinnell. Jaime struggled with serious health issues from a young age and by the need to feel better and the inability of allopathic medicine to offer any relief she slowly and steadily found the cures she sought through nutrition, supplementation, herbs, personal development, and lifestyle.
After a long and successful career as an entrepreneur she felt the pull to become an integrative health coach to help others like her, suffering from fibromyalgia and other conditions to feel better and live healthy thriving lives. She studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and received certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
As she was completing her certification training she began working with us to create her brand, business name, vision, mission, positioning, and the voice of the brand.

I hold an emotionally safe space, identifying the deep connections necessary for allowing the intuitive process of healing to unfold.
The Strategy
Jaime had an intuitive sense that for her business to be successful she would need to tell her story as authentically as possible and seek to align with potential clients based on her story, values, vision, mission, and experience.
Needless to say, our brand strategy process resonated strongly with her, and we all had a great time working together, gradually sussing out the true depth of what she has to offer.
Focusing carefully on her audience, we were able to define the values, concerns, fears, beliefs, and understandings that her audience holds, and from there to develop the brand personality, language, and voice that speaks to that audience.
Our process is less about adapting to an audience, as it is about identifying the audience we are uniquely suited to. Thus, as the language bubbles to the surface there is a point at which the client realizes that the language and tone that attracts their ideal audience is the language and tone that reflects who they truly are.

I offer attainable and sustainable solutions, in contrast to programs that direct you to deprive yourself or make unrealistic changes. My process is deep, wholistic, nurturing, and transformational — going beyond merely addressing symptoms, to reveal and heal at the level of your root causes.

The Challenge
Since we have at most three seconds for a person to “get” a logo, it can’t be too complicated or busy, or possess too much symbolism. Our goal is to clearly convey a company name and at the same time a feeling and tone. Anything more and we fail.
Given that Jaime sought to convey the feelings of gentleness, revitalizing, and authenticity, high contrasting colors and sharp
Thus it took much more effort, thought, and conversation than usual. After more rounds than we would like to admit we accomplished the goal, and Jamie has expressed much gratitude for the finished product. Her logo does not fit within the established trends of logo design, but we didn’t aim for that. Our primary goal was for her logo to feel like her so that she would have a better chance at precisely attracting the right kind of clients.
Aimed for a feeling of gentle, connected, empowering, healing, and revitalizing.
Next Steps
Jaime is presently working to design her website herself and may or may not seek our counsel for some coaching on the finished product. We are always flexible in how we work with our clients. Some have technical leanings and web design experience. Some may have in-house design staff. Some may need our help for all stages of brand strategy and design.
The brand strategy process is the first step, the foundation of the business from which everything is built and honed. Where a client goes from there is different for each.
